The lucky ones on the day shift however get to choose what beverage suits them best, or even if they really need a drink at all. Let the Stress OutWhen everything just starts getting to you, squeezing on something spongy helps. It lets you bring out all that energy stored while sitting. And it’s not just the hands. Close your eyes for a few seconds, pinch the gap between the eyes, let your feet tap the floor once in a while. Staying in just one position is a stress in itself. Don’t let it build up and affect your work. Take the BreakWhen you’re on a break, you’re on a break. Take advantage of the time allotted to get yourself ready for the next round. If possible, get a whip of fresh air to recharge. It’s just like coffee, but better. Get Lots of SleepThis one is basically for day shifts that suddenly got the graveyard shift. The sudden change in schedule would confuse the body, inducing sleepiness even though you’ve already slept during the day. There’s not really much you can do about it, except condition yourself to the new schedule and adding a few more hours to your regular snooze. |
